Fiji's Characteristics
Fiji is consist of beautiful beaches,blue lagoons,stunning sunsets,breathtaking waterfall,and thousands of streams and small rivers. It is located in the South Pacific, east of Australia and compromises of 322 islands. The three largest islands are Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, and Taveuni. Fiji have warm tropical climates that is perfect when you decide to go to the beach. At times Fiji also have wet weather, resulting in annual rainfall and sometimes cyclones.
Animals/PlantsThere are countless species of mammals,birds,reptiles,and amphibians in Fiji. The mammals are mostly made up of bats like the monkey-faced bats and fruit bats. Fiji has 162 bird species including the red throated lorikeet. Some amphibians in Fiji are tree frogs and ground frogs. Reptiles include the Fiji crested iguana,geckos,and the bolo snake which lives in the ground on the island of Vltilevu. The marine life of Fiji include blue whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. The trees on mountainous region are coconut palm tree and Mallotus Tiliifolios. The Tahitian Gardenia in Fiji is native to the islands and are prized for their tubular white flowers. The Heliconian also in Fiji, have large, tightly rolled foliage with many uses.
